Envision Energy and Elements Green Partner on 1,600MWh Battery Storage Project in Germany
Jun 29, 2026 | By Team SR

Envision Energy, a global green technology company, has partnered with Elements Green, an independent power producer (IPP), to develop the 1,600MWh Stadorf Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in northern Germany. The partnership was announced at Intersolar Europe in Munich.
The project is an important step for Envision Energy as it expands its energy storage business in Germany. It also supports Elements Green's growing renewable energy projects across Europe. Together, the two companies aim to build a more flexible, reliable and low-carbon energy system for the region.
Envision Energy will use its AI-powered energy technology to provide a complete battery energy storage solution for the Stadorf project. The system will be built using the company's latest Gen 8 Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) platform.

The Stadorf project will have a capacity of 400MW / 1,600MWh, making it one of the largest battery energy storage projects currently being developed in Germany.
The project is designed to meet Germany's high standards for quality, safety, and reliability. It will also help improve grid stability and support the country's growing use of renewable energy.
Envision's advanced battery technology is expected to solve complex engineering, grid connection, and regulatory challenges involved in building large-scale energy storage projects.
Henry Peng, Senior Vice President of Envision Energy and President of its Europe and Latin America regions, said the partnership combines Elements Green's local market knowledge with Envision's global technology and project experience.
He added that the collaboration will help speed up the development of reliable, flexible, and future-ready energy infrastructure while supporting Germany's transition to cleaner energy.
"Battery storage is central to Germany's energy transition, and the scale of that opportunity demands the best available technology. Stadorf is an important project for Germany's energy transition and reflects the growing need for flexible, reliable and high-quality storage infrastructure," added Rasmus Friis, CEO of Elements Green, "Germany is integrating more renewable energy than almost any other market in Europe, and storage is what makes that power flexible, dispatchable and genuinely useful to the grid. At Elements Green, we are committed to selecting partners and platforms that deliver the highest standards of performance, efficiency and longevity, because these are long-life assets and the decisions we make at the outset define outcomes for decades. Envision brings advanced technology, a strong understanding of the local market and proven international delivery experience, giving us confidence in a project of this scale and complexity. Stadorf reflects our shared commitment to delivering infrastructure that performs at the highest level for the long term, and we are proud to be working with Envision to bring it to life."
