Daiichi Sankyo Appoints Markus Kosch as Head of Europe Business From April 2027

In his new role, Kosch will oversee the company’s European business as part of its new globally integrated Commercialization Unit. He will also have legal responsibility for Daiichi Sankyo’s operations in Europe.

The appointment is part of Daiichi Sankyo’s next phase of growth under its Five-Year Business Plan. Kosch will bring the company’s Oncology and Specialty businesses together under one leadership structure, with the goal of making innovative medicines available to more patients across Europe.

“Europe will continue to play a pivotal role in our company’s success. Markus has consistently demonstrated the ability to combine strategic vision with operational execution while building high-performing teams. He is the right leader to guide our European organization into its next phase of growth,” said Ken Keller, who has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Commercialization Officer, also effective April 1, 2027.
