SUMMARY
- Convelio, a tech-driven fine art logistics and storage company, has raised a Series C round to grow its AI-powered logistics and collections management services for the global art and antiques market.
The investment was led by a leading French entrepreneurial family with strong connections to the art world, alongside existing investors Forestay, Mundi Ventures, and Acton Capital. Financial details were not disclosed.
Founded in 2017, Convelio aims to modernize the largely under-digitised art logistics sector. It combines proprietary algorithms and AI technology with specialist handling expertise to deliver more efficient and transparent shipping and storage solutions.
Its platform offers end-to-end shipment management, real-time tracking and AI driven inventory visibility helping solve issues like unclear pricing, limited collection oversight, and fragmented logistics processes.

Convelio serves around 3,000 art businesses worldwide and has been selected as a global logistics partner for Phillips, supporting integrated post-sale services across key art markets.
By using AI to automate tasks like quotation generation and workflow coordination, Convelio has reduced administrative work and improved efficiency.
This allows the company to deliver a more seamless and transparent logistics experience supporting the ongoing modernization of the global art market.
The new funding will help accelerate Convelio’s hybrid growth strategy, focusing on advancing its AI-driven technology and expanding its global storage network.
As part of this expansion, the company plans to open new specialist storage facilities including a flagship warehouse in New York, alongside its existing locations in London and Paris, both of which achieved operational breakeven within their first year.
Edouard Gouin, co-founder and CEO of Convelio, commented: The art world has a tricky relationship with AI, with participants more inclined to view it as an existential threat than as a potent economic ally. For us at Convelio, that distrust is wildly misplaced.
AI’s biggest contribution to art will not be to replace human artistic endeavour with cheap, quick AI-generated alternatives. It will lie in its ability to make the mechanisms of access, circulation and collection management more seamless, for the benefit of a wider community of collectors, art lovers and institutions.
