May 5, 2025 | By Kailee Rainse

Cavell, a Ghent-based digital health startup based in the Wintercircus, today announced that it has raised €1.5 million in a pre-seed financing round.
With this investment, the company brings several strategic investors on board to accelerate growth in Belgium and Europe, both in primary and secondary care.
With the raised funding, the team wants to further expand Cavell to become the standard for capturing, structuring and processing medical data – in every clinical setting, for every user. The focus is on developing reliable, scalable technology that seamlessly connects to the daily reality of healthcare providers and integrates perfectly into their current software package.

Louis Verdonckt, co-founder, sees this financing as an important milestone: "There are currently several promising partnerships in the pipeline to introduce Cavell to many healthcare providers in Belgium. However, our ambition extends beyond Belgium: we want to improve healthcare throughout Europe. Thanks to the confidence of our investors, we can now scale up faster and increase our impact.
