German ClimateTech Startup dsb Raises €10 Mn+ to Expand Energy-Efficient Home Renovation Services

The investment was led by Simon Capital and VERBUND X Ventures, with existing investors IBB Ventures, Vireo Ventures, and Atlantic Food Labs also taking part.

The new funding will help dsb launch its own electricity tariff, expand into the B2B market, and support further business growth. Earlier, in February 2025, the company raised €3.6 million in a Seed funding round.

Nico Heinz, Principal at co-lead investor Simon Capital, said, “dsb solves a big, very concrete problem: millions of property owners don’t know when or how to renovate, while the trades sector is chronically overloaded and inefficient at customer acquisition. With a standardised, tech-driven process, dsb creates real productivity gains for both sides at this intersection and makes an important contribution to the energy transition in the existing building stock.”

“Two years ago, we were still sitting in a living room researching insulation materials. Today, we’ve helped more than 10,000 families with their renovations. Around 80% of Germany’s 15 million single-family homes are still not energy-efficient. We’re only at the beginning of this journey,” concluded Adam Khenissi, CCO and co-founder of dsb.

Founded in 2024, dsb helps homeowners across Germany make their homes more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly through energy renovation services.

The company provides independent energy advice, helps customers apply for government subsidies, and connects them with trusted skilled professionals to complete the renovation work.
