Amsterdam-based women-led investment firm Joanna Invests, investing €5M in female founders. The company seeks to reduce ticket sizes than typically required in order to make funding for startups simple and available to a larger number of women.

Claire Tange, founder of Joanna Invests says, “I am super proud to offer this new package deal proposition. We are off to a great start as we have already commitments for 20 per cent of the first tranche of €500,000 in just a month after launch. The pipeline of female founders looking for funding is strong, proven by the fact that we have received over 100 requests since the start of Joanna Invests in 2022. We can’t wait to start investing in them,”.
Joanna Invests has built up a portfolio of five firms since March 2022: Quan, Peekabond, Ozarka, We Are Eves, and tex.tracer. There are 400 individuals in its community, 90% of them are women.

The company currently provides investors the opportunity to create a customised portfolio of businesses began by women. Among the parties engaged in the Joanna Invests package deal is Pauline Timmers, the former MD of Investment Banking Benelux at Citigroup.
Timmers says, “I am participating in the Joanna Invests package deal as it offers me the opportunity to invest in a diversified portfolio of female-founded startups, without having to spend time choosing the right company, negotiating the deal, or worry about the legal paperwork, as Joanna Invests takes care of this.”
