bilt.me Secures €614.9K Pre-Seed Funding to Expand AI App Builder Globally

The funding round was led by Superhero Capital, a seed-stage venture capital firm that invests in software startups across Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

The round also received investment from Markus Villig, founder of Bolt, and Martin Sokk, founder of Lightyear. The new funding will support bilt.me as it continues developing its AI-native mobile app-building platform.

“We should be honest with ourselves. Europe is behind on energy, behind on chips, behind on AI infrastructure, behind on the frontier models – those races may already be decided elsewhere. But there’s one layer where Europe is still world-class: the application layer, turning AI into things real people use and pay for,” said Uku Joost Annus, co-founder and CEO, bilt.me.

“When I was 19, building an app was one of the biggest barriers to turning my idea into a company. Bilt.me is removing that barrier for the next generation of entrepreneurs. If anyone with an idea can build and launch a real product, we unlock far more people to start companies, solve problems, and create something valuable,” said Markus Villig, founder and CEO, Bolt.

bilt.me will use the pre-Seed funding to expand into global markets and continue improving its platform. The company plans to add new features and strengthen its AI-powered app-building capabilities.

In the long run, bilt.me aims to become a go-to platform for people who want to start a business and become entrepreneurs by building mobile apps.

bilt.me was founded in August 2025 by Annus, Kevin Akkermann, and Karl Kiilaspää. The idea started as a hackathon project aimed at solving problems around Apple’s app-testing restrictions. The founders, who are still in their early 20s, later won the first cohort of ruum, a hacker space in Tallinn’s Krulli Quarter.

The company currently has a team of six engineers. bilt.me also shares the development of its own apps live on Twitch, allowing people to see how the team builds and tests its products.

Like other generative AI tools, bilt.me lets users describe their app idea in simple language. Its AI agent then builds the app, lets users preview it on their phone, and helps them publish it on the App Store or Google Play.

The company says its main difference from other AI app builders is that it creates native iOS and Android apps, rather than web apps. Users can build these mobile apps without writing any code.
