The Web3 environment is built upon the premise of trustless networks and decentralized applications with numerous parties involved. The unique nature of Web3 drives its need for a highly secure and available communication fabric. Traditional industry solutions cannot provide these benefits due to their typically centralized operations or infrastructure.

With Anapaya’s SCION solutions, the Sui blockchain will benefit from highly available connectivity between all parties with SCION connectivity, especially across various network providers.

SCION is also designed to withstand attacks on routing protocols and defend against DDoS flooding attacks with built-in protection mechanisms, enabling highly available communication.

Furthermore, SCION offers high-performance data communication through path optimizations and improvements across various metrics such as latency, bandwidth, jitter, and loss.

Evan Cheng, CEO and Co-Founder of Mysten Labs, said, “SCION’s highly secure and efficient communication fabric will provide yet another key differentiator for Sui, as we continue to prioritize the highest possible level of security. Bringing better infrastructure to web3 is why Mysten Labs stepped into the space in the first place, and we are glad to have the opportunity to do so with Anapaya.”

Adrian Perrig, Prof. Dr. ETH Zurich and SCION inventor states, “Thanks to its decentralized and secure operation, the SCION network is a perfect match for Web3. Through this collaboration, it is very exciting to further push the state-of-the-art in terms of security, scalability, and efficiency.”

Martin Bosshardt, CEO of Anapaya Systems, adds, “Anapaya’s SCION-based products are about to change the Web3 landscape as we know it today. Anapaya and Mysten Labs are at the forefront of this movement, working together to empower decentralized applications and networks with SCION. We thank Mysten Labs for their trust and seeing the value of this partnership for advancing their solutions.”

Through this partnership, they are building a secure, available, and high-performance SCION-based Web3 communication infrastructure while positioning this SCION-powered configuration as the Web3 industry blueprint to ultimately enhance the experience for its end users across all the Web3 layers.
