ZEISS Ventures Leads €2.2 Million Investment in SeeTrue Technologies

SeeTrue Technologies, a DeepTech company based in Joensuu, Finland, has raised €2.2 million in a new funding round.

SUMMARY

  • SeeTrue Technologies raised €2.2 million in a new funding round.
  • The round was led by ZEISS Ventures, with participation from Superhero Capital, North Karelia Growth Fund, Luminate, Piotr Frasunkiewicz, and existing angel investors.
  • Founded in 2018, SeeTrue develops advanced eye-tracking solutions for medical devices, vision care, and smart wearables.

The investment round was led by ZEISS Ventures. Other investors included Superhero Capital, North Karelia Growth Fund (managed by Redstone Nordics), and existing angel investors Niko Myller, Sueno Digital Oy, and Erkka Tahvanainen. Luminate and Piotr Frasunkiewicz also joined the round.

SeeTrue will use the new funding to speed up the commercialization of its next-generation, ultra-low-power eye-tracking technology, helping bring its advanced eye-sensing solutions to the market faster.

Roman Bednarik, CEO and co-founder of SeeTrue Technologies, said, “We aren’t just improving eye tracking; we are shrinking it to fit the future of wearable tech. If XR and AI glasses are supposed to achieve mass adoption, eye-tracking must become invisible to the user but significantly more powerful for the device. With the backing of ZEISS Ventures, Superhero Capital, NKGF, Luminate, Piotr Frasunkiewicz, and our angel investors, we are now expanding our Joensuu team to accelerate our international commercial work to meet emerging market needs.”

Julian Schroth, Investment Manager at ZEISS Ventures, said, “SeeTrue is developing eye-tracking technology that has the potential to make human-machine interaction more intuitive, efficient, and seamless across healthcare and other professional workflows. We believe the company is well positioned to address key industry challenges and unlock new ways for people to interact with digital systems.”

Founded in 2018 by Roman Bednarik and Piotr Bartczak, SeeTrue Technologies develops small and advanced eye-tracking technology for medical devices, vision care products, and smart wearable devices.

The company's technology provides real-time, high-speed eye tracking while using very little power, making it suitable for compact and battery-powered devices.

As more companies develop AI-powered smart wearables, there is a growing need for accurate eye-tracking technology that fits into small, lightweight devices with limited battery life and computing power. SeeTrue aims to solve these challenges with its innovative technology.
