Swiss startup Jaipur Robotics Raises €4.3 Million to Expand Industrial AI Technology

Swiss industrial AI startup Jaipur Robotics has raised €4.3 million in a seed funding round to expand its computer vision and automation technology for waste-to-energy and other industrial plants.

The round was led by EquityPitcher Ventures and High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF).

Jaipur Robotics uses AI and computer vision to help waste-to-energy plants monitor waste, improve operations and reduce safety risks. Its technology can detect hazardous materials, support better waste mixing and help automate crane operations.

The company says its system has been trained using more than 50 million labelled images from European waste-to-energy plants and currently analyses over five million tonnes of waste each year.

Jaipur Robotics also claims that its technology has helped some plants reduce unplanned shutdowns by more than 80%.

The company will use the new funding to expand into new markets and further develop its technology for waste-to-energy facilities and other industrial applications.

“We envision a future where data from waste fully drives safety and automation. This round enables us to revolutionise entire plant operations,” Ermes Zamboni, co-founder and CEO of Jaipur Robotics.

Anna Stetter, Investment Manager at HTGF, said, “What convinced us to co-lead this round is the combination of a dataset, a founding team with rare depth across mechanical engineering, deep learning, and industrial deployment, and outstanding, measurable results at customer sites.”

Founded in 2024 by Ermes Zamboni and Nikhil Prakash, Jaipur Robotics develops AI and computer vision solutions for industrial plants, including waste-to-energy, cement and biomass facilities. Its technology is designed to help these plants operate more safely, efficiently and with less manual work.

The company focuses on challenges faced by waste-to-energy plants, such as hazardous materials entering the facility, changes in waste quality that affect combustion, and a shortage of skilled operators.

Its AI-based systems help plants monitor waste and improve day-to-day operations.
