Zebra Technologies acquisition news – UK Frontline Workplace Company Zebra Technologies is Acquiring Photoneo

Zebra helps organizations improve their workflows by giving frontline workers the tools to monitor, predict, and optimize tasks. They provide a wide range of products, including software, robotics, machine vision, automation, and digital decision-making tools. Zebra has a network of 10,000 partners in over 100 countries, with more than 80% of the Fortune 500 companies as their customers.

By combining Photoneo’s 3D machine vision solutions with Zebra’s advanced sensors, software, and AI-powered image processing, customers will have a unique set of tools to solve their most difficult problems.

Photoneo’s smart sensors are especially useful in vision-guided robotics (VGR) for tasks like robot arms picking items from bins or depalletizing. Their technology also uses parallel structured light for complex 3D applications, offering faster, more accurate, higher resolution, and stronger solutions that include both hardware and software.

Zebra acquired Matrox Imaging in June 2022 to enhance its industrial scanners and machine vision sensors. In 2024, Zebra and Photoneo partnered to include Photoneo’s cameras in Zebra’s 3D product lineup.
