Voima Ventures funding news - Voima Ventures has Announced the Final Closing of its €100 Million+ Fund III

Voima Ventures has closed its €100 million+ Fund III, a deep tech fund that follows Article 8 regulations. Based in Helsinki and Stockholm, the fund has already made 8 investments to support innovative deeptech projects in the Nordic and Baltic regions.

The fund will help develop the next generation of science-driven startups, with initial investments ranging from €200,000 to €3 million, and the potential for additional investments in the future.

The firm aims to expand its presence in the Nordic and Baltic areas and become a trusted partner for early-stage university spinouts and startups.

Since its start in 2019, Voima Ventures has become a trusted partner for early-stage founders, using its expertise and strong connections in academia and industry to help turn research into commercial success.

More than 70% of its investments come from university spin-offs or research-based companies. The firm was an early investor in successful companies like Solar Foods, Dispelix, MVision, Betolar, and EniferBio.

Investors in Voima Ventures Fund III include the European Investment Fund (EIF), Finnish Tesi and its KRR fund, VTT of Finland, Saminvest from Sweden, as well as pension funds Nordea Life and Elo, and several foundations and family offices.

The fund plans to make 25-30 investments, with 8 already completed in startups like ÄIO, Liquid Sun, and Avenue Biosciences.
