SUMMARY
- Vangrid has raised US$9 million in Seed funding to expand its decentralized spatial intelligence network.
- The funding round included HashKey, Borderless, Crypto.com Capital, Animoca Brands, Gate Labs, and Mapleblock.
- The new funding will help grow its network, improve edge computing, and expand enterprise partnerships.
The company aims to make high-quality spatial data available at the scale needed for Physical AI, without using special or expensive hardware.
Vangrid's platform uses the cameras and sensors already built into billions of smartphones, turning everyday mobile phones into a large, distributed data collection network.
Robert Brighton, CEO of Vangrid: “We are the eyes for the next generation of AI. Without a decentralised perception grid, billion-dollar robots will remain blind to dynamic human environments. This round, and the calibre of partners now standing beside us, signals that the market recognises spatial ground truth as the foundational infrastructure needed for the Physical AI era.”
