Twin Prime Raises $10M To Build Frontier AI For Defence And Security

Twin Prime is building AI systems designed to natively reason across diverse physical-world sensor modalities with a particular focus on national security applications. The models aim to compress the perception-to-decision pipeline, enabling faster, real-time responses to emerging threats.

The company was founded in 2025 by George Lentzas, Stephane Sezer, Drew Calcagno, and Michael Leite-Garcia a multinational team spanning frontier AI research, quantitative finance and national security.

Collectively, the founders bring experience from institutions such as Hudson River Trading, Google Research, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Columbia University, the White House, the Pentagon, and multiple branches of U.S. and European armed forces.

Twin Prime and European defence prime Theon International also plan to establish a joint venture to develop, commercialize, and deploy tailored AI systems built on Twin Prime’s proprietary models.

The joint venture is intended to enhance Theon’s existing deployment of sensor systems and defence products, extending its capabilities as part of its broader Theon Next initiative.
