Test Of Things Raises €1.2M To Fix The Cybersecurity Problem Of Connected Devices

The funding round was led by Vendep Capital with backing from industry veterans including Aapo Oksman, Zach Shelby, Neil Costigan, and ScanABC, alongside support from Business Finland.

Founded in 2024 by Marko Kaasila and Rauli Kaksonen, Test of Things is focused on simplifying cybersecurity for Internet of Things (IoT) devices through automation.

The company offers a cloud based platform that automates security testing and helps manufacturers meet global compliance standards.

As connected devices enter the market, companies must ensure they are secure before launch. However, cybersecurity testing and compliance processes are often manual, expensive, and difficult to scale. Test of Things addresses this challenge by streamlining and automating these tasks.

The company highlights that unsecured devices can create serious risks acting as entry points for cyberattacks that may compromise personal data, industrial systems, office infrastructure and even critical services like power grids.
