The founders started Tallia to solve a common problem for tax professionals. They wanted to help advisers use AI to speed up research and document writing without losing accuracy or the professional judgement needed when working with clients.

Unlike general AI tools, Tallia is built specifically for tax and accounting firms. It provides answers supported by tax laws, official guidance and previous court decisions. Its technology connects AI-generated answers with relevant tax sources, allowing professionals to check the information before using it in their client work.
The platform can also use a firm's own knowledge and documents. It connects with existing files, contracts, templates and previous work to help advisers prepare research and documents that match the firm's working methods and standards.
Tallia also includes review features that allow senior professionals to check how the AI reached its conclusions and which sources it used. This helps firms maintain control over the quality of their work.
With the new funding, Tallia plans to bring its platform to more tax and accountancy firms. The company aims to reduce the time professionals spend on routine research and first drafts while allowing them to remain in control of the final advice given to clients.
