Talion Cyber Security Raises £2M Investment From Mercia And Crown

The funding will accelerate Talion’s growth as a trusted partner for the mid-market, a sector facing rising cyber threats yet underserved by both smaller providers and large enterprise players.

Talion competes with major MSSPs like Bridewell, Kyndryl, and NCC Group, differentiating itself with a comprehensive suite of services, including managed detection and response, hybrid SOC, threat intelligence, penetration testing, compliance reporting and incident response.

Founded in 2010 within BAE Systems to protect the 2012 London Olympics, Talion became independent in 2020 through a management buyout. The Leeds-based team comprises veteran cyber experts from defence and enterprise sectors. Keven Knight has assumed the role of CEO, and Matthew Briggs, former ECSC Group CEO, has joined as Chair.

The investment will broaden access to Talion’s services for mid-market organisations and support expansion across the UK and US.
