SUMMARY
- Standab, a Swedish provider of urban smart-charging infrastructure, has secured €3.6 million to expand operations across 15 European cities.
The round was led by Spintop Ventures with support from Almi Invest GreenTech, marking Standab’s first major raise after its initial angel funding.
Marcus Adolfsson, Co-founder and CEO of Standab, said: “Cities and operators alike are calling for smarter ways to integrate micromobility into the urban landscape. Our universal charging solution solves operational inefficiencies while reducing emissions and creating cleaner streets. With this funding, we can accelerate our roll-out and work towards making Standab the European standard for micromobility charging.”
Founded in 2025, Standab develops patented charging stations for e-scooters, e-bikes, and other light EVs, helping cities and operators lower costs, reduce street clutter, and drive sustainable urban mobility. The new funding will support scaling into 15 European cities by late 2026 and expanding partnerships with top micromobility operators.

Erik Wenngren, Partner at Spintop Ventures, added: “Standab is uniquely positioned to become the universal smart-charging backbone for Europe’s micromobility sector. The company combines strong operator partnerships, proven technology, and a highly experienced team.
“This investment means that Standab can roll out their intelligent combined software/hardware solution, as the company continues to scale across Europe and deliver both financial and sustainability impact. This investment is fully aligned with one of our core investment themes: accelerating the transition towards a circular future.”
Shared micromobility is booming in European cities, but inconsistent charging practices create inefficiencies, high costs, and street clutter. Many operators rely on costly, emission-heavy battery swaps, while cities struggle with integration.
Standab addresses this with standardized charging stations compatible with over 85% of scooters and e-bikes. Partnering with operators like Dott and Tier, the platform automates charging, reduces excess batteries, and cuts CO₂ emissions. Pilots have shown 50% lower charging costs, 45% higher fleet availability and up to 55% fewer swap tasks while cities enjoy decluttered streets.
Jonathan Lannö, Investment Manager at Almi Invest GreenTech, said: “Standab’s universal charging solution tackles one of the biggest bottlenecks in the micromobility sector: costly and emission-heavy battery swaps. By extending battery lifecycles, reducing fleet overcapacity and enabling grid-smart charging, the company directly reduces emissions and helps cities integrate cleaner, more efficient transport solutions.
“At Almi Invest GreenTech, our mission is to support companies that accelerate the green transition a mission that Standab embodies perfectly.”
This new funding brings Standab closer to its mission of enabling cities to adopt cleaner, more efficient urban mobility solutions.
