Helsinki-based Reveel secures 650k in pre-seed round funding from Inventure VC and angel investors. With the help of the Reveel platform, locations like UNESCO sites, museums, churches, lodging facilities, national parks, and towns can convert their static information displays and paper maps into interactive digital guidebooks that can be accessed by tourists with just a single scan on their phones.

Travelers from all over the world may now explore in their native tongues thanks to the platform's AI-powered straight translation of all content into 28 other languages.

This offers partners a fresh perspective on visitor experiences, and locations may quickly join the Reveel-platform rather than investing in costly and time-consuming in-house solutions. Reveel gives the partner the resources they need to easily manage, maintain, and update the material at the destination, giving visitors a more modern experience.

Additionally, the platform enables locations to generate fresh revenue streams and monetize assets that were previously underutilized, such as smartphone-based digital guided tours.

Sebastian Mellblom said, “We couldn’t be happier with having such a great group of investors on board. This journey will not only require a great product but also a great team and support system, and we truly feel like we’ve gotten just that. This funding round allows us to accelerate our mission towards truly smart tourism, as well as build the team of rockstars required to make Reveel a household name within visitor experiences.”

Co-founders Sebastian Mellblom and Robin Kanerva came to the realization in 2021 that on-site experiences were antiquated; at historical places, we still use disposable headphones, read information from physical displays, and receive paper maps at destinations.

William Helmenius said, "A fundamental part of the product development, led by William Helmenius, has been to build the product with future scaling in mind. Our entire software platform has been built with modularity in mind. Future platform features alongside possible future avenues of expansion are already accounted and prepared for. The scalability of every part of our service has been a concern since day 1 and with today’s implemented software architecture we will not be reaching the limits of our potential any time soon.”
