[Funding alert] London-based Wealth-Tech Platform Company Prosper Secures £3.2M in Angel Funding

Prosper, a wealth-tech platform firm based in London, has raised £3.2 million in angel financing. The founders of World First, Tandem, Azimo, Embark, Comply Advantage, Capital One (Matt Cooper), Monzo (Tom Blomfield), and Connect, MMC, and Portfolio Ventures all participated in the round.

The funds will be used by the company to grow both its operations and its clientele. Founded by Phil Bungey of Nutmeg, Ricky Knox of Tandem and Azimo, and Nick Perrett of digital bank Tandem.

Knox, previously the CEO and co-founder of Tandem Bank, shared with AltFi that Prosper aims to be the "TransferWise of wealth management," aiming to drastically cut the standard fees in the industry.

Prosper is a wealth-tech platform which gives access to alternative private market investments and provides zero cost index funds from major asset managers.
