Progressive Robotics Funding News – Greece-Based Progressive Robotics Secures €1.55 Mn in Funding

Jan 17, 2025 | By Startuprise

Thessaloniki-based Progressive Robotics, a cutting-edge robotics business, has raised €1.55 million in a preliminary fundraising round to provide SMEs with access to advanced robotic automation via its AI-powered, no-code platform.

Marathon Venture Capital led the investment, with Genesis Ventures continuing to provide support.

“Our vision is to empower businesses, large and small, by removing the barriers to robotic adoption,” said Fotis Dimeas, CEO of Progressive Robotics. “This funding will enable us to scale our technology, expand globally, and bring Amazon-like robotics capabilities to SMEs.”

Progressive Robotics was established in 2023 by Fotis Dimeas, Marios Kiatos, and Zoe Doulgeri. The company creates AI-powered, no-code software solutions that improve and streamline robotic deployment. Its goal is to provide companies of all sizes with cutting-edge automation so they may maximize operations and reach new heights of productivity.

Progressive Robotics claims that its software revolutionizes robotic arm deployment and management by enabling non-technical operators to configure and reprogram robots in a matter of minutes. This greatly reduces expenses and increases adaptability, enabling SMEs to take advantage of the operational savings usually only available to larger businesses.

Progressive Robotics has already produced noteworthy outcomes, such as 20% quicker operations and significant cost savings in industries like logistics and food manufacturing.

A key component of the company's product line is its advanced mixed-case palletizer, which makes use of 3D perception and machine learning technology. Robots can now dynamically adjust to different product weights, sizes, and forms in real time thanks to this innovation, which maximizes space use while maintaining stability and safety.

These developments are intended to position Progressive Robotics at the forefront of the expanding robotics market, a trend that is also acknowledged by significant industry participants such as Nvidia.

The money will speed up global expansion, increase operational capabilities, and support product development.

In order to guarantee that its platform works flawlessly with top-tier hardware, Progressive Robotics has already partnered with well-known robotic OEMs such as ABB Robotics, Elite Robots, and Schmalz.

Progressive Robotics is breaking down the technical and financial barriers that have traditionally limited automation for smaller businesses,” said Panos Papadopoulos, Partner at Marathon Venture Capital. “We are thrilled to support their vision of making advanced robotics an attainable reality for SMEs worldwide.”
