Poncho funding news – Zurich-based Poncho has Secured CHF 550,000 in Seed Funding

It helps companies manage the risks of unpredictable weather. With this new funding, Poncho aims to help businesses reduce their reliance on weather forecasts and boost customer confidence in booking, no matter the weather.

It’s product lets customers add weather protection when booking, which helps businesses prevent last-minute cancellations due to bad weather and encourages customers to book in advance. This, in turn, helps businesses increase sales and improve stability.

It uses a special system to create weather insurance offers during the booking process, adjusting coverage and pricing based on the location, date, and activity.

The technology tracks weather in real-time using detailed models and automatically refunds customers if certain weather conditions are met. Customers don’t need to file an insurance claim.
