Palantir and Nebius Partner to Bring Sovereign AI Infrastructure to Businesses

Palantir Technologies and Nebius Group have announced a strategic partnership to provide Nebius’s AI computing infrastructure and cloud services to Palantir’s business customers.

SUMMARY

  • Palantir and Nebius have announced a strategic partnership focused on sovereign AI infrastructure.
  • Nebius will become Palantir’s preferred sovereign AI infrastructure partner.
  • The partnership aims to help businesses build more secure and customised AI systems.

Under the partnership, Nebius will become Palantir’s preferred sovereign AI infrastructure partner. After the integration is completed, Palantir customers will be able to access Nebius’s cloud and AI computing services directly within the Palantir environment. This will give eligible customers more control over their data, computing resources and AI models.

The two companies will also work together to quickly add new computing capacity for Palantir customers. This could include modular data centres built at locations where power is already available.

Palantir says its goal is to make AI work for organisations without allowing AI systems to take control of important business operations. Its Sovereign AI Operating System, built using AIP, Ontology, Foundry and Apollo, helps organisations train AI models using their own data while maintaining control over their data, models and computing infrastructure.

By bringing Nebius infrastructure into the Palantir environment, the partnership will give more businesses access to sovereign AI infrastructure. This means companies can run and manage their own AI models on trusted infrastructure instead of depending entirely on outside providers.

Eligible Palantir customers will also be able to run open AI models on Nebius infrastructure and continuously improve those models using their own business data. This could help companies build AI systems that are better suited to their specific industries and tasks than general-purpose closed AI models, while keeping control of their data and the AI models they create.

Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir, said: “Nebius’ compute infrastructure powers your ability to run your own AI models under conditions you control. Our ontology and their infrastructure will undergird the sovereignty our partners are demanding.”

Arkady Volozh, founder and CEO of Nebius, said: “Organizations need both the performance of large-scale AI infrastructure and control over their data and models. Together with Palantir, we are bringing this to commercial clients enabling them to run their optimized open models on trusted infrastructure.”

Nebius is an AI cloud company that helps developers and businesses build and manage their AI systems. Its platform supports the full AI process, from handling data and training AI models to deploying them for real-world use.

Nebius uses its own technology and large-scale infrastructure to support companies around the world. Its growing global presence serves startups and enterprises that are developing AI products, AI agents and other AI-powered services.
