Neurotech Startup BRYM €650K in Pre-Seed Round

The funding round was led by Singapore-based family office Lotus One Investment, with additional investment from global early-stage venture capital firm Antler.

Charlie Ohlén, CEO and co-founder of BRYM, said "the company believes technology should enhance people's performance rather than replace them. He added that declining attention spans are becoming an increasingly significant challenge for businesses, contributing to productivity losses across the global workforce."

"We've proven that by treating focus as a trainable skill, we can directly impact a person's mental resilience and a company's bottom line. This funding enables us to build our own affordable hardware and bring the technology to a much wider market."

BRYM was founded by Charlie Ohlén and Nils Hagberg and is based in Stockholm. The company is developing a wearable neurofeedback platform that helps people improve their focus and mental performance. It aims to make brain training simple, measurable, and easy to use.

The platform uses gamified neurofeedback to help users stay focused and improve cognitive performance. BRYM first introduced the technology in the automotive manufacturing industry, where staying focused is essential. In early pilot programs, the company said its platform reduced operator errors by 46%.

BRYM will use the new funding to design, develop, and manufacture its own EEG headband. The company also plans to expand its platform to more business customers across Europe.

The new hardware will also help BRYM move to a subscription-based business model, making its technology easier to scale and offer to more customers.
