Meet Margret Juliana Sigurdardottir, the CEO and co-founder of Moombix. Margret is a serial entrepreneur. Prior to Moombix, Margret launched Mussia, her 1st music-tech startup. Moombix is her 2nd music-tech startup.

Margret has always been passionate about music. She can sing, play the piano and write music. By pursuing her Passion, she has become a professional musician and has experience with jazz, rock, classical and more.

Margret graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London. Following graduation, she also went on to perform and teach music and received her teaching certification.

Why Moombix?

After completing her education, Margret came back to Iceland and decided to begin a new chapter, converting her Passion into business.

With this commitment, she embarked on her entrepreneurial journey, launching her 1st startup, Mussila, a musical game that is designed to teach children the fundamentals of music. She and her team were the minds behind the creation of the app Mussila, which has won multiple awards. She was the founder of the year in Iceland at the Nordic Startup Awards 2017, and Forbes recognized her as one of Europe’s most promising entrepreneurs. However, this was not the end of her story.

Margret’s journey of her Passion reached new heights from a musical gaming platform to a musical ed-tech platform. When she noticed that her new idea has the potential to revolutionize how people connect and learn to music education.

After realizing this, Margret came up with the solution: Moombix. She wanted to make music education accessible, flexible and enjoyable.

After successfully exiting from her 1st startup, Margret founded her 2nd startup, Moombix, an online music education platform.
