Dublin-based Marama Labs secures €1.5M in seed plus funding. The Yield Lab spearheaded the financing, with involvement from current investors such as Icehouse Ventures, Quidnet Ventures, New Zealand Growth Capital Partners, and angel groups.

Dublin-based Marama Labs secures €1.5M in seed plus funding. The Yield Lab spearheaded the financing, with involvement from current investors such as Icehouse Ventures, Quidnet Ventures, New Zealand Growth Capital Partners, and angel groups.

Along with angel and high-net-worth investors from Germany, Ireland, and New Zealand, DeepIE, Radar Ventures, and NZVC were among the new investors that took part.

The money will be used by the business to increase hardware manufacturing capacity for its cloud software data analytics tools and patented CloudSpec spectroscopy instrumentation in New Zealand.

Marama Labs is a deep-tech sensor and data analytics company led by Dr Brendan Darby, the CEO. The company creates innovative UV-Vis spectroscopy (light-based) sensor instrumentation and cloud software data-analytics tools that make it possible to analyse complex liquids like wine, pharmaceuticals, and nanomedicines chemically efficiently and add value to production processes.
