With this funding, the company strategically aims to consolidate its presence in the US by opening an office in Austin, Texas, and expanding its team. Sqill has created a "all-in-one" AI-based content production platform that is compatible with iOS and Android and is intended to improve social media presence and brand storytelling. Before this latest round of funding, Sqill had already secured over €300,000 from Demium, Innventures (via Innowave), and over ten business angels, including Pedro Silva Nunes from Audax Group, Armando Ribeiro Ferreira from EY, Domingos Cruz from CCA Law Firm, João Correia Pereira from Judas, José Diogo Quintela from A Padaria Portuguesa, Jordi Pujol from Objective, Valentina Hristova from Salesforce, Andrew Riley from Nomi Health, João Cruz from Linguae, and John Bagagem from Empower, among others.
The startup is now being incubated by Instituto Pedro Nunes and Startup Lisboa. Sqill, which targets more than 30 million social media teams globally, wants to keep helping brands thrive in the challenging world of digital content.
