SUMMARY
- Fashiontech startup MannyAI has raised €1.5 million in funding, which includes a €240,000 IUK grant and a €1.26 million Pre-Seed investment led by Dreamcraft Ventures.
- MannyAI is changing production for fashion and furniture companies by tackling overproduction with its AI Production Flow Planner for factories and a dynamic Sourcing Marketplace for brands.
In global garment production, up to 40% of items often go unsold due to mismatched demand. Traditionally, brands manage this risk by offering discounts or buying in bulk, which leads to overproduction.
MannyAI Offering
MannyAI provides a new solution: a test-and-reorder model that allows brands and suppliers to work together using advanced AI for quick, responsive order cycles. This model helps brands reduce the initial volume of finished goods they need to produce.

The company was founded by Shruti Grover, a former manufacturer turned tech entrepreneur, and data scientist Simon Johnson. Grover has hands-on experience in manufacturing, having set up factories in India that used advanced machinery.
Grover emphasises: “While many fashiontech investments focus on expensive machinery, our experience in factory operations has given us a unique perspective. It’s standard software — automating paperwork, tracking fabric, and using AI for production and capacity planning — that can actually reduce overheads and make small-batch production profitable for European factories, which already operate at high efficiency.”
MannyAI’s main tools include AI-powered features for cost negotiation, real-time order allocation and flexible capacity management based on each factory’s capabilities. These tools help brands meet demand quickly and reduce costs for faster production times. MannyAI’s approach also supports the EU’s efforts to tackle overproduction and overconsumption in fashion.
Dreamcraft Ventures led the funding round, with support from Alante Capital, Plug and Play EMEA, Carbon13, Ventures Together, and PDS Ventures.
Mathilde Lyet, Principal at Dreamcraft, explains that increasing regulations and the shift toward nearshoring make this innovation perfectly timed to help brands cut waste and improve profits in a fast-changing industry.
Purpose of fund raising
The funds will help MannyAI turn traditional factories into flexible, AI-powered production centers. This will allow brands to reduce their overall production while making small-batch production more profitable.
