UK-based Laundryheap acquired the digital assets of parisian competitor Lavoir Modern. The initiative aims to increase Laundryheap’s company’s presence in the French capital city; the terms of the agreement are not yet public.
After acquiring Wast, a French competitor, in June of this year, Oxwash, a UK company, in April of this year, and Laundrapp in April of 2022, Laundryheap has now made four acquisitions in the last 20 months.
Lavoir Modern was founded in 2012 with funding of €8 million provided by Centuria Capital, Industry Capital, and angel investors, including former Renault F1 chief engine designer Axel Plasse and former deputy CEO of insurance giant AXA Denis Duverne.
The group initially raised £2 million through QVentures and Simon Smith, CEO of Niche Invest in London, before bootstrapping the company until October 2017. Since then, the group has raised an additional £3.4 million from investors, such as The SidebySide Partnership, Pario Ventures, Verb Ventures, and SovaVC.
Dimitrov commented said, “We are thrilled to further bolster our presence in France with the acquisition of the Lavoir Moderne digital assets. We look forward to growing our footprint in the region and providing our Parisien customers with the excellent service we are known for.”
