London-based Klu secures €1.6 million in pre-seed funding led by Firstminute Capital. Scouts from top venture capital firms including a16z, Sequoia Capital, Craft Ventures, and Atomico also participated alongside angel investors from Superhuman, IBM, Productboard, and other leading technology companies.
The fresh funding will support Klu’s goal of accelerating the emergence of committed AI developers and teams within organisations. Klu provides a collection of integrated products that let businesses fast go from concept to features powered by huge language models like GPT4 and customised for LLM.
Sam Endacott of Firstminute Capital said, “We are thrilled to back Klu as they enable the next generation of AI-powered software. With Klu, knowledge workers can spin up AI-based internal workflows to automate repetitive tasks and embed AI workflows into their products for customers to experience. This is a major product challenge which is why Stephen and Stefan with their prior roles at Productboard and Skyscanner are the right duo to solve this problem,”
Klu CEO and co-founder Stephen M. Walker II said, “The layoffs of late 2022 shifted modeling work from data scientists to product teams consuming AI APIs. These new AI Teams use Klu to launch LLM-powered features in days that outperform old models built over months,”
Klu was established in 2022, and its objectives are in line with the growing pattern of high-growth firms establishing particular groups dedicated to finding and commercialising AI use cases. But these young teams frequently struggle with complicated infrastructure, lengthy revision cycles, and a lack of specialised tools.
By offering goods like Klu Studio for rapid prototyping, Klu Engine for access to popular AI models like GPT-4 and Llama 2, Klu Eval for performing AI-powered evaluations on new iterations, and Klu Optimise for utilising real-world usage data to continuously improve outputs with fine-tuning, Klu overcomes these obstacles.
Klu, which was co-founded in 2022 by Stephen M. Walker II (CEO) and Stefan Sabev (CTO), has been delivering more than 500,000 requests per week with an impressive average weekly growth rate of 10% since its limited beta launch in March.
Colab, Zavvy, and Productlane are just a few of the B2B SaaS startups that Klu, which has offices in London and San Francisco, claims among its clientele.
Klu is a Generative AI app platform that makes it easier to create, deploy, and optimise applications that use AI. Klu expands globally to millions of users and is quick and simple to use.
