[Funding alert] Finnish-based Edtech Startup Kide Science Acquired by Accelerate Learning

A major provider of preK–12 STEM programs, Accelerate Learning, has acquired the Finnish-based Edtech startup Kide Science.
The start-up is renowned for its STEM education for young children that are innovative and play-based. Since Kide Science currently serves more than 1 million children in 32 countries, this tactical purchase intends to increase Accelerate Learning's early life curriculum and widen its geographic scope.

A solid basis in STEM education, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills will be provided to students as a result of the initiative, that is in line with the growing emphasis on early childhood development in the United States and around the world. It is also expected to make learning more enjoyable and engaging for pupils.
Philip Galati, president and CEO of Accelerate Learning said, “Young children have an innate sense of curiosity about the world, which makes the early years an ideal time to explore the wonders of STEM,“With Kide Science, teachers have research-backed lessons that tap into children’s drive to play, investigate, and discover so they can be successful in STEM from the start.”
For teachers with kids ages 3 to 8, the Kide Science platform offers a library of play- and story-based activities and instructional resources. Each lesson comes with handouts, assessment tools, video instructions, scientific explanations for all the phenomena, and suggestions on how to modify the course according to the student's age and aptitude.
