SUMMARY
- Jaipur Robotics has secured €153,000 in funding from Venture Kick to bring smart automation to waste-to-energy (WtE) plants.
These plants turn non-recyclable waste into energy, but often face issues like poor waste sorting, shutdowns, and high operating costs—up to $4.3 million per year per plant.
The startup aims to solve these problems using a computer vision platform built specifically for WtE plants. Its AI-powered software detects hazardous or oversized waste, maps waste quality, and sends real-time alerts to operators. This helps reduce downtime, cut emissions, and save costs.
Unlike general automation tools, Jaipur Robotics’ system is tailor-made for the messy and unpredictable nature of waste streams. It turns complex waste input into clear, actionable steps for plant operators.

Starting with WtE, Jaipur Robotics plans to expand and become the go-to operating system for the global $1.3 trillion waste management industry.
Ermes Zamboni CEO of Jaipur Robotics highlighted: Venture Kick has been instrumental in accelerating our growth providing both funding and strategic validation through its prestigious label. The support helped us refine our product strategy and IP roadmap as we bring AI powered automation to waste-to-energy plants. This recognition strengthens our credibility as we scale internationally to tackle major inefficiencies in the waste industry.
Co-founders Ermes Zamboni (CEO) and Dr. Nikhil Prakash (CTO) bring together engineering and deep learning expertise from ETH Zurich, along with practical experience in industrial automation.
Their combined knowledge allows Jaipur Robotics to address a challenge that many Waste-to-Energy (WtE) operators still manage manually—positioning the company as a software-first innovator in a critical yet underexplored area of clean energy.
The funding will be used to further develop the product, pursue international certifications, and expand the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
