Indurex Raises €7 Mn to Expand Its AI-Powered Industrial Cybersecurity Platform

Amsterdam-based startup Indurex has raised €7 million in funding to develop its AI-powered cybersecurity platform. The company focuses on protecting cyber-physical systems, which connect digital technology with physical equipment used in industries.

The funding round was led by Contrarian Ventures, a European investment firm that supports early-stage energy and industrial technology companies. Axeleo Capital and Dutch venture capital firm Curiosity also participated in the round.

Indurex secured the funding less than nine months after emerging from stealth, highlighting early investor interest in its technology.

“Cyber defences in these critical sectors have focused solely on the network. We focus on the core industrial data itself: the engineering, process and safety signals that determine whether a plant is operating within safe limits. Cybersecurity and operational excellence have too often been managed as separate disciplines — Engineering Intelligence is the missing layer, and this funding allows us to bring that capability to more operators across critical infrastructure,” said Bouhdada, co-founder and CEO of Indurex.

“Electrification is putting more critical infrastructure online, and attacks on it are rising, with the damage felt in the physical world: cold homes, dark hospitals, water that stops flowing. Detection alone is no longer enough. Operators need to understand what an alert means for the physical process behind it. Having built and sold a company in this space, Jalal knows what operators across oil and gas, power and manufacturing need, which makes Indurex one of very few companies that understands both the network packet and the physical process,” said Rokas Peciulaitis, Founder and Managing Partner at Contrarian Ventures.

Indurex was founded by Jalal Bouhdada and Maarten Oosterink, who have extensive experience in industrial technology, process safety and cybersecurity. Launched in January 2026, the company aims to help businesses keep their complex industrial systems safe, secure and reliable. Its target industries include oil and gas, energy, utilities, manufacturing and data centres.

The company combines cybersecurity, process safety and engineering operations into a single system called Engineering Intelligence. Its platform, Indurex SafeGuard AI, collects data from industrial control systems, safety systems, alarm management tools and IT security software.

Using AI agents, the platform identifies unusual activity and potential engineering problems. It gives operators a clearer view of security risks and connects cybersecurity alerts with the physical processes taking place in their facilities. This helps businesses better understand threats that traditional industrial cybersecurity tools may miss.
