London-based Heat Geek secures £3.7million in seed funding. Leading the round, Transition raised a total of £4.2 million in fundraising, with participation from Akta Raja, Ed Broussard, Rob Harris, Jeff Twentyman, Stewart Seigel, and other investors.

The money will be used by the business to increase operations and development initiatives. Heat Geek, a digital platform that equips heating engineers with training, cutting-edge technology, and a pipeline of paying clients who have been pre-qualified using the company's proprietary property intelligence algorithms, was founded by Adam Chapman, Aadil Qureshi, and Matthew Gunn.

The digital platform, which includes capabilities like a digital surveying and system design process, a training and community hub, MSC certification, and an end-to-end digital journey for homeowners, will soon be available to all Heat Geek certified installers.

The business previously formed a relationship with Resi, a digitally first remodeling and extension service, and OVO Energy, which was introduced in September.

Aadil Qureshi said: “At the heart of our business is a shared obsession with empowering everyone in the UK to upgrade their home and save money every month. But one of the biggest issues facing mass uptake of heat pumps is a lack of skilled installers. Our solution is simple – train thousands of existing heating engineers and give them the skills, knowledge and tools to unlock the support for thousands of homeowners wanting to decarbonise their homes and save money on their energy bills.”
