- The company is building an “agentic cloud” designed specifically for AI agents.
- The new funding will support commercialisation and expansion of its AI infrastructure technology.
Granite is developing what it calls an “agentic cloud”. Instead of adapting traditional cloud infrastructure for AI agents, the company is building infrastructure specifically designed to support them.
Granite's platform brings together computing power, storage and networking with its own operating system and AI orchestration software. This allows customers to manage their AI workloads through a single infrastructure platform.
The company delivers its infrastructure through modular data centres. These are container-based units that include computing, storage and networking equipment and can be deployed in locations where suitable power is available.

Granite offers its technology as a cloud service as well as dedicated systems. This gives organisations the option to use Granite's infrastructure through the cloud or operate the systems themselves for greater control.
Granite's platform also includes tools for managing AI agents. These tools provide agents with memory, permissions and access to other tools. The company says this approach can help organisations have greater control over where their AI workloads operate and which underlying technologies they use.
"AI is moving from answering questions to carrying out work. That changes what businesses need from the infrastructure behind it. We are building Granite so organisations have a genuine choice about where their AI runs, who controls the underlying technology and how they develop their AI capabilities over time, "said Peter Damm, CEO of Granite.

The new funding will help Granite bring its technology to market by combining its software and hardware to provide AI infrastructure for customers.
