Drone Startup FuVeX Raises €3 Mn to Expand AI-Powered Dual-Use Drone Technology

The funding round included investments from SODENA, SEGO Venture, Izertis Ventures, and several family offices connected to the industrial, agricultural, and innovation sectors. FuVeX has also secured commitments for future funding rounds giving the company additional financial support for its long-term growth.

The company will also invest in research and development (R&D) to create more advanced drone systems for defence, security, and critical infrastructure applications, while accelerating its expansion into international markets.

Founded in 2013 by Carlos Matilla, FuVeX is a Spanish company that develops, manufactures, and operates long-range drones for both commercial and defence applications.

The company combines advanced drones, operational software, and AI-powered analytics to automate the inspection and monitoring of critical infrastructure, making the process faster and more efficient.

FuVeX's drone platform is designed for both commercial and defence customers. This dual-use technology can support a wide range of industries and government organizations.

The company's drones can operate beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) for distances of up to 10 kilometres. This helps reduce inspection time, lower operating costs, and improve worker safety by limiting the need for people to work in dangerous environments.
