European-Based The Recursive Expands Globally With New Leadership Structure

Teodor Antonio Georgiev has been appointed as the new CEO, with Etien Yovchev and Dilyana Haralanova joining as Managing Partners.

Co-founder and outgoing CEO Irina Obushtarova will continue to support the company as a strategic advisor, ensuring the original vision and values remain strong as The Recursive expands internationally.

Founded in 2021 with a simple belief that stories shape stories, The Recursive set out to highlight innovation across Central and Eastern Europe.

The goal was to change how capital flows, partnerships are formed, and ecosystems grow. Now, four years later, that mission has scaled to a global level.

Since the beginning of 2025, The Recursive has tripled its monthly recurring revenue and broadened its services to support a diverse client base across more than 12 countries.

Clients include early-stage startups aiming to raise funds, IT service companies scaling globally, large corporations entering new markets, and even governments working to position themselves as global innovation hubs.

At the heart of this growth is a powerful network of over 20,000 founders, investors, business leaders, media outlets, and ecosystem enablers spread across Europe, North America, and the Middle East—fueling The Recursive’s continued impact on the global tech landscape.

To support its global expansion, The Recursive is introducing a Global Advisory Board. This non-governing board will serve three main purposes: first, to bring in local expertise and networks to guide the company’s market entry and growth; second, to boost brand credibility and visibility among key audiences; and third, to help unlock new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and connect with local talent more quickly.
