ETFBOOK Raises $13 Mn to Expand AI-Powered ETF Data Platform Across Americas and APAC

ETFBOOK (SquaredData AG) has raised $13 million in funding to expand its ETF data and analytics platform into the Americas and Asia-Pacific markets.

SUMMARY

  • ETFBOOK has raised $13 million to expand its ETF data and analytics platform.
  • The funding was led by Expedition Growth Capital, with participation from BlackFin Capital.
  • The company plans to strengthen its presence across the Americas and Asia-Pacific.

The funding round was led by Expedition Growth Capital, with existing investor BlackFin Capital Partners also participating.

ETFBOOK provides data and analytics tools for the exchange-traded fund (ETF) industry. Its platform brings ETF data from different sources into one standardized system. The company’s products are used by ETF issuers, fund administrators, market makers, authorized participants, asset and wealth managers, and hedge funds.

"Global capital has been moving out of mutual funds and into ETFs for years, and there is no turning back. What never kept up is the data and analytics underneath this growth, globally and for AI-native applications. There is no single source of truth for global ETF markets across ETF data layers. That's the problem ETFBOOK is solving, and this round is what takes our AI-native approach from the EMEA region into the AMER and APAC markets, "said Pawel Janus, co-founder and CEO of ETFBOOK.

Bartlomiej Igla, co-founder and CTO of ETFBOOK, said "the company's architecture is designed to automate core operations without requiring headcount to grow at the same rate. He added that the new funding will allow ETFBOOK to broaden its product offering and data coverage as it expands internationally."

ETFBOOK’s platform brings ETF data from different sources together and organizes it into a standard format. This gives clients one reliable source of data that they can use to build their own applications or use ETFBOOK’s analytics tools.

The company offers its services in three main areas: Data, which provides standardized ETF information through APIs; Analytics, which is available through ETFBOOK’s web application; and Workforce, which helps clients combine verified ETF data and workflows with their own or third-party data sources.

ETFBOOK is also adding AI features to its platform. It has developed AI tools that help with collecting, processing, and distributing ETF data, as well as a conversational AI feature that allows users to interact with the platform more easily.

ETFBOOK will use the new funding to add more ETF markets and detailed datasets to its platform. The company also plans to expand its analytics tools and strengthen its presence in the Americas and Asia-Pacific.

As part of this expansion, ETFBOOK is setting up a US entity and a New York office. It is also building a team in Hong Kong and plans to hire more employees at its Kraków delivery hub.
