Decade Energy Secures €22 M To Scale Europe’s Depot Power Infrastructure For Truck Electrification

As truck electrification accelerates, the key challenge has shifted from vehicle availability to access to reliable power. Grid constraints, long connection timelines, and complex on-site energy systems are slowing deployment across logistics sites.

Decade Energy addresses this by developing, financing, and operating integrated energy infrastructure for electric truck fleets. This includes grid connections, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging, solar installations, and software to optimise energy usage.

Using a zero-CapEx model the company enables logistics property owners to secure power capacity while generating predictable rental income and benefiting from participation in energy markets through battery storage assets.

The €16 million commitment from Eiffel Investment Group, through its Eiffel Transition Infrastructure fund, will be used to support project deployment.

The goal is to roll out a portfolio of at least 100MW of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across France, representing around €50 million in total CapEx financing.

The remaining funding, led by SET Ventures with continued backing from existing investors Contrarian Ventures and Ananda Impact Ventures will support the next phase of Decade Energy’s product development.

This includes advancing its energy optimisation software, developing new truck charging and solar (PV) solutions, and expanding the company’s team into additional European markets.

According to Casper Norden, CEO and co-founder of Decade Energy: “We are building the software, energy products, and team needed to serve logistics sites more comprehensively and to bring that model into new European markets.

We now have the capital and platform to turn logistics depots into the power infrastructure that electric road transport needs.”
