With more people buying tickets at the last minute, event organisers are struggling. Some festivals and nightlife events in the Netherlands have even been cancelled or delayed due to poor early sales. BASH wants to fix this with a modern, social-focused tool for promoting events in a world where attention is scattered and social proof matters.
BASH lets organisers create interactive event pages that include everything—tickets, videos, guest lists, updates, and social sharing. These pages act like mini event hubs, helping to get more people involved and making it easy for attendees to share the event through chats, stories, and social media.
“Events live in group chats, DMs and stories, but most organisers still share a dead ticket link,” said Joris Oudejans, CEO and co-founder of BASH. “We believe you can’t build a real audience like that. Our event pages get shared, bring people back, and help friends bring friends. We’ve proven it works in Amsterdam. Now it’s time to roll it out further.”
“BASH is exactly the kind of company you want to back: a sharp idea, proven model, and strong growth potential,” said Geert-Jan Smits, who is also an advisor to the company. “With this team and this focus, now is the time.”
BASH is doing well in the Netherlands, but it has bigger goals. With the new funding, the startup plans to grow its sales team and use its Amsterdam success model in other European cities, where local festivals and promoters are facing similar problems.
This funding comes at a time when the events industry is still recovering from the pandemic and trying to figure out how to keep audiences engaged in a market that’s crowded and expensive.
