Austria-based Atlas secures $4.5million in funding from The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The money will be used by the company to improve its R&D projects and expand its gaming offerings in partnership with brands and game developers.
Atlas is a 3D generative AI platform that works with brands and game developers to quickly create virtual environments and experiences. Ben James, the company's CEO and founder, is in charge of Atlas.

With the aid of its range of AI tools, businesses and creators may produce unique, IP-specific assets for virtual worlds, XR experiences, and video games. The money will be disbursed over three years, starting with $608K in 2024 and going up to $2.3M in 2025 and $1.6M in 2026, depending on milestones met.

Additionally, Atlas has previously benefited from grants intended to develop AI technology in line with the 2020 agenda of the High-Level Expert Group on Trustworthy AI of the European Union.
