It will also strengthen TBAuctions' presence in Germany, France and Italy and expand its industry expertise in metal and wood processing. By merging with Surplex, TBAuctions is tapping into the DACH region with a potential of 1 billion business goods auctioned online per year.
As part of the TBAuctions family, Surplex customers now have access to sellers from 20 countries, can sell more than 1.6 million items, receive bids from 750,000 bidders from over 175 countries and achieve hammer prices of more than 1.6 billion euros.
The DACH market for trading used business equipment exceeds 100 billion euros annually. Digital auctions in particular are becoming increasingly popular as a trading channel in this area - driven by technological advances, increasing digital acceptance and the trend towards sustainability. Online auctions make it possible to target buyers outside of one's own region and offer potential buyers a wider choice.
By joining forces with TBAuctions, Surplex can take full advantage of these trends in Germany. Surplex will thereby expand the range of services available to German buyers and enable German entrepreneurs to sell their used business assets to 750,000 bidders across Europe. This move is in line with TBAuctions' strategy to achieve sustainable growth through technology.
