SUMMARY

  • Stockholm-based startup Alrik, which provides logistics software for the construction industry, has raised €7 million new funding to support its expansion across Europe.

The funding round was led by Nordic VC People Ventures, with Pi Labs, a London-based early-stage proptech investor, also taking part again.

Alrik has built a platform to modernize construction logistics—an area often slowed down by inefficiencies, high costs, and carbon emissions. Globally, construction is a €15 trillion industry, with logistics making up about 10% of that spend. Yet many processes are still done manually using phone calls, spreadsheets, and paper records.

Alrik’s software brings everyone—merchants, suppliers, carriers, truck drivers, and construction sites—into one digital system. It helps cut costs, speed up deliveries, and automatically track emissions.

The company says customers typically save 25% per delivery and get access to automated environmental reports.

“Think of Alrik as the Doordash for building material merchants,” said Nici Sundén-Cullberg, Founder and CEO.

Co-founder and CPO Axel Enblad added, “Alrik is a modern operating system that helps merchants stay focused on their core business while we automate logistics, optimize transport sourcing, manage invoicing, and connect seamlessly with ERPs, carriers, drivers and construction sites — turning messy, analogue workflows into one smart, scalable system.”

Alrik has seen rapid growth over the past year. Monthly shipments through its app jumped from 2,000 to over 25,000, with a 10x increase in both revenue and usage.

The platform runs on a marketplace model, allowing each customer to connect with thousands of carriers and over 100,000 construction sites.

Its clients include major Nordic companies like Saint-Gobain, Renta, Byggmax, Sonsab, XL-Bygg, and Karl Hedin. Alrik now plans to expand further across northern Europe and into the UK.

“Alrik isn’t just solving today’s logistics challenges with a smart SaaS approach, it’s unlocking new revenue streams and creating powerful distribution effects that connect merchants, carriers, and construction sites into a future-ready ecosystem,” said Thérèse Mannheimer of People Ventures.

Dhruv Gupta at Pi Labs added, “Alrik is solving one of construction’s biggest friction points - and the momentum speaks for itself. We’re excited to support their accelerated growth and positive impact on the €1.5 trillion construction logistics industry.”

The company will use the new funding to speed up its go-to-market efforts and improve its platform for enterprise customers across Europe.
