Yasu Raises €850K To Develop The World’s First AI Cloud Engineer

The round was led by Akka, with participation from Empower Impact and prior backing from Antler.

Founded in 2025, Yasu is creating an AI Cloud Engineer that integrates cost visibility into the development process, helping teams prevent cloud waste before it happens.

Yasu tackles a key issue in the €1.6 trillion global cloud infrastructure market, where misconfigurations, inefficiencies, and complexity result in an estimated €512 billion lost annually. Generative AI workloads have worsened the problem, driving average cloud spending up 30%, with 72% of IT and finance leaders calling GenAI-related costs unmanageable.

Since launching in April 2025, Yasu has delivered average cost savings of 35 per cent for its customers and is managing €3.9 million in cloud spend across companies, including alpha.One, TRaiCE and Smiler.

Commenting on the issue, Yasu CEO and Co-founder Vikram Das Ambar noted that while companies appreciate the flexibility of the cloud, they often suspect overspending. Data now confirms this concern, showing that nearly one-third of all cloud expenditure is wasted.

Current tools only detect problems after deployment, when fixes are ten times more expensive. Yasu shifts cost visibility into development, where our AI agents prevent waste before it happens. We are building an AI cloud engineer for every team, not just another monitoring platform. This funding accelerates that vision across Europe.

The funding will be used to expand Yasu’s presence in key European markets, enhance its agentic AI capabilities, and further develop its autonomous cloud optimization platform.
