Hungary-based data storytelling startup Vizzu has secures $1.5 million in funding and is beta-launching its animated data storytelling tool. Users can instantly turn their data into animated stories using this cinematic application. Users can now easily explore this new storytelling style that was previously only accessible to highly skilled data visualisation specialists.

Two Sigma Ventures and Interactive Venture Partners Fund, which is supported by Thomas Peterffy's family office, the founder and chairman of Interactive Brokers Group Inc., participated in the investment round.

With the funds secured, Vizzu has added 15 highly skilled technical and product personnel to its team. The group has integrated an intuitive SaaS platform with its animated charting engine, which was previously exclusive to engineers and data scientists.
