Vinted Group is the company behind Europe’s popular second-hand marketplace Vinted, has launched Vinted Ventures is a new investment arm focused on supporting startups that promote second-hand shopping.

The goal is to boost re-commerce and help change consumer habits toward buying used instead of new.

Vinted started in Lithuania in 2008 and became the country’s first unicorn in 2019. It’s still based in Vilnius, with offices in Germany and the Netherlands, and has over 2,200 employees.

Vinted Ventures will invest in startups at the Series A to C stage, with funding between €500,000 and €10 million. Along with funding, startups will get advice and support from Vinted’s expert team to help them grow and deal with challenges.

According to Milda Jasaitė, Senior Director of Corporate Development at Vinted, Vinted Ventures supports ambitious founders whose products and services solve real problems and are ready to define the next frontier of how people buy, sell, and value the things they own.
