European Tech Community Upscalers Secures Pre-Seed Funding. Upscalers creates a vibrant, cross-border society by holding monthly dinners in six important European cities.
Through 6-month core-group cohorts, where members participate in monthly calls to discuss difficulties, lessons learned, and strategies for professional advancement, the community also fulfils the demand for peer support.

The project, which comes after two years of bootstrapping, is the brainchild of CEO Yoann Benhacoun and COO Timoteo Rouchon. Having made sixteen investments in seed and pre-seed companies in the US and Europe, Rouchon is the leader of the angel investing division.

Mike Benchimol, the former COO of Checkout, Diverder Caroff, the former VP of engineering of Criteo, and other community members Giovanni Lagasio, Klarna's Global Operations Director, Alexia Delahousse, Chief of Staff at Factorial and GC at Qonto, Queralt, Barcelona Akito Suzuki, CFO of Spryker Systems; Ulric Musset, the former founder of Vauban; and Florent Coudyser, the former general manager of wetransfer.
An undisclosed sum was secured from local angel investors and Caterina Fake, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and investor who previously co-founded Flickr and served on the board of Etsy, through her firm yes.vc.

Pre-seed capital will support Upscalers' growth in Europe, and the company has plans to expand globally, including into the US.
