MONET Financing has raised £17 million in early funding to improve cashflow tools for creative agencies.

SUMMARY

  • MONET Financing has raised £17 million in early funding to improve cashflow tools for creative agencies.

The round was led by top banking leaders including Paul Rippon (Monzo, Starling), Michael Fischer (Modern Capital), and Dan Adler (Railsr). Force Over Mass and other angel investors also joined the round.

MONET’s £17M raise includes both equity and debt, with talks underway to secure an additional £10M in debt financing. Its platform is already being used by creative agencies in TV, music, gaming, and social media—including Cowshed Collective, known for Footasylum’s YouTube series Locked In.

The funding comes at a time when creative businesses in the UK struggle with access to traditional loans—only 7% secure bank funding, compared to 25% of other SMEs.

MONET offers integrated tools for financing, payments, and workflows, helping agencies in a sector worth £124 billion a year.

Founder and chief executive Jacob Casson said: “These teams are high‑performing but often underfunded. We have built MONET to deliver financial products that plug directly into campaign operations, making capital, payments and administration seamless from day one.”

MONET’s platform provides campaign-based funding of up to £3 million per agency, supports payments in over 130 countries, and includes real-time cashflow forecasting and invoice management. Most of its clients earn between £2M and £20M a year and need financial tools that can keep up.

In the UK alone, over £503 million in business debt is tied to the arts sector. Globally, the creator economy is expected to hit $480 billion by 2027, according to Goldman Sachs.

Investor Paul Rippon called MONET “the kind of infrastructure the creative sector has needed for a long time,” adding this is his largest angel investment to date.

With fresh funding, MONET aims to make it easier and faster for creative businesses to access capital and streamline operations using embedded finance.
