SUMMARY
- Joyvié Health a UK-based startup, has raised €897,000 ($1.04 million) in a pre-seed round to develop its patent-pending continence underwear designed to reduce skin contact with stool and ease caregiver burden.
The funding includes support from Innovate UK, HERmesa Angels, SyndicateRoom, Lavender Ventures, and several angel investors.
The company was founded by Zoe Robson in 2024 following her father’s experience with late-stage pancreatic cancer and the challenges of faecal incontinence care.
Joyvié Health is focused on addressing faecal incontinence, a condition affecting an estimated 656 million people globally but still largely managed with outdated solutions such as nappies and pads.

Its product is designed to contain stool in a disposable pouch immediately after excretion, helping to protect skin integrity, preserve dignity, and reduce care time.
Early results suggest up to a 90% reduction in stool-to-skin contact and around 70% faster changes compared to conventional methods.
The condition is often linked to serious illnesses and ageing, and disproportionately impacts both patients and caregivers, the majority of whom are women.
The company aims to modernise incontinence care through real-world healthcare pilots and wider institutional adoption.
“Products designed for care should never cause harm. That’s not a vision statement. It’s the reason this company exists,” says Zoe Robson, Founder & CEO of Joyvié Health.
