In addition to the European Investment Bank, Omega Venture Partners, St. Gobain & L-Acoustics, the European Investment Bank, and seasoned angel investors, the round was led by KOMPAS VC, an early-stage venture capital firm that specializes in the built environment. The funds will be utilized to grow the Treble team, improve R&D, establish new business relationships, and penetrate new markets.
SUMMARY
- Treble, a business that develops technologies for sound simulation and synthetic audio data production, has raised €11 million in a series A fundraising round.
- Dr. Finnur Pind, an audio engineer, and Jesper Pedersen launched Treble in 2020.
Because there are currently few reliable and user-friendly simulation tools that can be included into the design process, creating sound for structures, vehicles, and technological devices has historically been a costly endeavor. It might take a lot of time and money to make improvements when structures or goods don't adhere to the required acoustic regulations.
According to the World Health Organization, the second most detrimental environmental stressor to human health is noise. An important bottleneck that has emerged with the rapid expansion of AI-based audio models in voice technology, generative AI, and augmented reality is the scarcity of audio training data.
